This site is produced by me, Ian Mordue, of the North East Meccano Society. I can be contacted in the following ways:-
To join the North East Meccano Society send a cheque for £8.00(Senior) / £4.00(Junior and student) made payable to the North East Meccano Society to the treasurer F. Thompson at 17 Bryan Close, Hurworth on Tees, Darlington. DL2 2AS.Junior members are under 16 and student members are 21 and under and are still in full time education. Please include your name address, telephone number and any special Meccano interests you have (e.g. preferred colours, types of model etc.) The society meets three times a year at a venue in Bedale, North Yorkshire to exchange views, display models and to buy and sell parts and sets. Once a year in November we hold a public exhibition which has historically been in Darlington. In addition to the meetings we publish a quarterly magazine which is posted to all the members. The magazine helps keep members in touch and serves as a medium for expanding the interest in the Meccano hobby. It is not necessary to have any Meccano at all to join the society just a love of and interest in its history and development.
I am always interested in buying Meccano products of any type and age. Please contact me to discuss. |
